I'm looking to build a badass desktop machine for video editing/encoding/gaming. Hopefully it can double as a Hackintosh computer.

Some questions: 64 bit? does that matter? I think it does because I need > 3GB memory.

Apple sucks. They aren't supporting the Mac Mini and it is probably an end-of-life product.

This machine will be for backups, and general network filesharing.
Find a distribution that will fit and run from flash memory. can i mix and match hard drives?
